Coastal Home, County Sligo

This property has been sensitively redesigned to salute its early beginnings from the late 1700’s. Adding to its size for modern living it has also been very well insulated. This period home has a bespoke kitchen & library which are hand painted to give a classic finish. Storage in this hand made kitchen along with a large island and open plan space are important elements. This area can host large family gatherings, meals with friends and allow conversation to flow from one space to another.

This lovely property on Griffith Avenue in Dublin has a wonderful bright south-facing aspect. The clients wanted to make the most use of the light and decided to create a larger living/dining/kitchen extension to the south-facing side of the property.

In defining the different areas, we used  various wallpapers and strong paint colours, yet coordinating all using vibrant yellows, pale blues, creams and a touch of grey.

Contemporary home remodelled from a dark, knotty pine panelled space. The space was dark and now has more light and colour.

The new kitchen offers a better place for cooking and enjoying meals. The scheme of the bold purple kitchen is carried through the main living areas in the soft furnishings.

The main bathroom and the bedrooms were also upgraded to give a more contemporary and light filled feel to the rooms.

This project was a renovation of the existing kitchen, dining and sitting room area.

The client wanted to update the space to meet their functional and design needs. The kitchen layout is designed to maximise the light and workspace as well as flow from room to room.

We put custom wallpaper on a feature wall to bring colour and art in to the spaces.

The kitchen features high end, quality finishes that provide the client with the best space to cook and enjoy meals with family and friends.

The kitchen remodel allows more light to come in and provides a more functional workspace for preparation and cooking.

The remodel provides extra storage, a larger living space and gives the owner a country look in her city home.

Floor to ceiling glazing was used to bring in light and the floorboards were laid on the diagonal to make the long room feel wider.

This Georgian farmhouse is a complete renovation project. When it was bought only the walls and a partial roof was intact.

With the help of Vision Interiors the homeowners were able to bring in modern design to an older home, while keeping many aspects traditional. The home has a nice blend of materials from oak parquet flooring to red and black quarry tiles reclaimed from an old conservatory.

Linda was the interior designer chosen by Dermot and Eimear who own this lovely home in County Galway.

Modern, contemporary and vibrant colours are part of this brief given to Linda as their interior designer.

Dermot and Eimear want their home to be a friendly, practical space for children and for family life.

Linda created a warm and welcoming hall with lovely textured wallpaper and a spherical pendant light fittings to set off the area.

Commissioning a  ‘wow’ mural  in the kitchen/dining area by Orlagh Murphy, Linda was delighted that  both Dermot and Eimear loved this feature !

Creating a library area in the ‘snug’ for cosy winter evenings & reading bedtime stories, this room is a big success

In 2004, Linda was invited to become involved in the RTE 1 brand new ‘Showhouse’ programme.

This became so popular with the public it ran for numerous seasons, showing a wide range of interior styles.

Linda’s task was to create a design based on the brief, implement her design with all the trades required to complete it, while adhering to the budget.
